Ira, can I help you? Sometimes people are too busy and forget.

Some people in residency or when start working do not have time to read forum every day (like me, for example). But if I see a private message I try to answer it anyway even if it's several days old.
May I help you?

Thank you. It's about the Statement of Need from Russian Ministry of Health for J1 visa. I wanted to know more details about the last year experience because my information is really old ( my husband got it in 2006).

Ira, I am not sure if it will help, but you can call my wife 216-292-6655, she does immigration law.

Answering this question, RAMA is not just about USMLE and getting into residency. We do a tremendous amount of work otherwise. In fact, people return after they finish residency.

Based on my wife’s experience with the Ukrainian Ministry of Health, you’ll have to find connections and cash. People do go into Residency and trust me, they get very busy. I have a few months between my Residency and Fellowship, so I came back to this Forum.

Ira, I missed your original post but my problem might be related to yours. This summer I oficially got a new SoN for a fellowhip but of course the wording is not as ECFMG wants. No need to say that bloody ministry knows it's not the same but doesn't give a damn. I was already issued a "deficiency letter" and called ECFMG. The woman wasn't very helpfull. She said I wolud have to talk to a rep for my state but he wasn't available. I recall, some people had to go through such conversations last summer. Can somebody share his/her experience please? Thank you.

Nothing yet - I cannot catch this person since she is available between 10am-12 pm and after 3 pm. I'm on an outside rotation, which take place in two different hospitals, and I'm always on the go:). Will continue on Monday.
